I could not agree more in saying that its a shame how insecure females are with their body imagine (myself included) and as much as hollywood has created images of what we should look like or the "healthy look" which half the time is an ironic statement because it really isn't healthy at all. we are constantly reminded daily of the "average look" or the "sexy image" and not only through media but through family, friends, coworkers, etc. It can be as simple as (for example) going out for drinks with friends, or sitting in the same office space you do everyday. Well, (and girls are guilty of this too) how many times have you said, or even thought to yourself, "that girl is too big to be wearing that", "that girl looks "'nasty'", "that girl is a 'slut'", etc and maybe you haven't ever said anything along these lines (and we thank you for that!), but how many times have you heard it? Think about it. Though whoever may be saying may never say it to the girl they are talking about, it doesn't mean that females within that area don't over here and think "oh my god, do I look like that?", "I hope my friends wouldn't say something like that about me", etc etc. And because of this, our subconscious mind allows us to look in a mirror hours a day, week, month, whichever the case may be and pick out imperfections that "may" one day be brought to our attention. So if we find a way to hide it, poke fun at it, or embrace it in a negative way before someone else does, then maybe no one else would see it? So as much as hollywood has created this image it is every day, individual people who keep the imagine alive. And because of that, this disease of insecurity remains. But who knows, I'm a woman but I can't figure us out either.

And for the record, I've slept on the floor... Because we didn't have a couch! Ha.

Hey Jimmy,
I've been vegetarian for about 9 years and it's not all that tough. I do it for the moral thing, not health. If it has a mother i don't need to eat it.
The hardest part is when people find out they usually make a big fuss over it and then you kinda feel like a wierdo. You go out with some people at lunch and they all fret over the location having vegetarian fare. Everyplace has at least a green salad.
The other tough thing is France. I think it's a federal law over there that everyone eat meat at every meal! Restaurants are veggie free, snacks consist of meat and potatoes. If you decide to step over to the dark side keep that in mind, take your own lettuce.
Ciao, and good luck.
